Behold! The new abstrak. I was undecided on where to take this style, but breaking from the template-driven rules and making the form freehand has really shifted gears. I'm still trying to keep some of those juxtapositional lines and circular highlights in the process, but it's definitely been heading towards a stained-g;ass look. With the inclusion of some special translucent paper, I'm liking where it's heading...

I will be offering these at AnthroCon. Pricing is still undecided, but I'm taking preorders for $15. Also! If you have one of my older badges, I'm offering upgrades for $10. Show me the original, and I'll recreate it for you.

If interested, note me your info or e-mail at chaos7332@gmail.com (paypal-linked)

Bah. Remind me which Yankee state Anthrocon is. Probably California, which is the FARTHEST ONE. From me. Anyway, learn to blow glass.

LOL those dragons are familiar to me! Those are really neat! An improvement I would suggest is varying the texture of the "glass". When I look for stained glas pieces for the house I look for technical skill as well as creativity with the glass. Some of my favorite pieces blend clear and smooth glass with some heavily textured bubbly types or even something nearly opaque. Here are a few pieces I thought might inspire you to take this neat technique to the next level

Something really cool you probably could achieve as well

Also I liked this one because it blends curved intricate lines with geometric pieces. It adds contrast without adding extra color and makes heron stand out. It also establishes a point of intrest.

Best of luck, hope these help because this is COOL

Technically, there's only one dragon in there. ;)

While it doesn't translate well in scanning, each section has a different pattern to it, as the paper creates a watercolor-like effect. I'm still figuring out how to create new textures with this style, though. the backgrounds have a circular, cloud-like effect that this picture does no justice to...

Style in progress!

Oh, Sejuay. It is the Pencil Veinia, which is reasonably close. To your torrid wasteland of a country. I need a kiln.

Slaving away over a hot oven.

Forging graphite.

Foraging for lines.

Delineated putters only drive so far.

I really liked your ideas here. I liked the stained glass kinda mosaic idea :)

How intentional were the visible strokes?

PS: The colors you used were awesome :aww:

Very nice work. Neogreen seems to radiate from the lower right and out into the background geometries which makes it my favorite of the three :)
